Since I was privileged to do the cover illustration for the 35th anniversary re-release of this book, I have advance notice of its August 2008 publication right here in the USA. I feel that it is important enough to share with you because I also know that it is a limited edition and will sell out very quickly.

It will be available at the Harvest Shadows booth at this year's SJPPD, so make a note of it!

Patricia Crowther's "Witchcraft in Yorkshire" was first published in England back in 1973 and has been hard-to-find for many, many years. An 80-page facsimile reproduction of this important text is being reprinted by Harvest Shadows in New England. The "collectors edition" is the same as it was published back in 1973, with the language, observations, and commentary intact. The cover alone has been updated in tribute to the importance of this work. It is a fascinating collection of folklore and history of witchcraft that describes customs, legends, spells, beliefs, and even contains a section on herbal cures with information on over thirty herbs.

The foreword to this new edition puts it in modern perspective, stating, "The small book you are now holding in your hands was an early effort by one of the first publicly announced practitioners to contribute to a fuller picture of the witch, and of witchcraft. The text provides samplings of how witchcraft and folk-magic manifested themselves, over many years, within the borders of Yorkshire."

Tempest is an artist, designer, dancer, and writer recently relocated from Bay Area of California to the Jersey Shore. Although she enjoys studying what tradition has to offer, Tempest loves exploring the dance through unusual music and creative costuming, pulling on her visual arts background to "paint a picture" with the dance; engaging the audience through dramatic embodied storytelling, passionate expression, and sensuous, mesmerizing movement. She finds inspiration for her dances in many eras, places, and faces, from ancient cultures and spiritual myths worldwide, to the work of silent film star and original vamp Theda Bara, and turn-of-the-century dance goddess Ruth St. Denis. She is most well-known for her Gothic Belly Dance performances and instruction, and is featured on the first ever GBD performance DVD produced by WorldDanceNewYork entitled “The Darker Side of Fusion”, it's sequel "Gothic Belly Dance: Revelations", and Hollywood Music Center's "Bellydance Underworld". She also has an instructional DVD geared towards the alternatively-minded entitled “Bellydance for Beautiful Freaks” produced by WorldDanceNewYork.

Welcome aboard, Flying on Instruments (F.O.I) is about to take you on a flight to places like the streets of Mexico, the beaches of Brazil, the deserts of Africa, the Red Planet, and to the back alley’s of New York City. Make sure your seats are in a comfortable position as F.O.I leads you on a musical journey. Your co-pilots on this excursion are Kevin Brace on tenor & soprano saxophones and Norm Dorrell on vibes & marimba. They have been traveling the musical landscape together for the past twenty years and are joined by navigators Mike Vogelmann on bass and John DiGiovanni on drums. Each musician brings his own unique, diverse talent to F.O.I’s performances and on their self titled debut CD, resulting in music that is powerful and uplifting. The band consists of Kevin Brace on tenor/ soprano saxophones and Yamaha WX11 wind synthesizer, Norm Dorrell on Vibes, Marimba and Percussion. John DiGiovanni on drums and Mike Vogelmann on bass guitar. FOI is located in the Philadelphia area and has performed in clubs throughout the area such as Gallucio's (Wilm, DE), The Treehouse (Collingswood, NJ), Club Shampoo (Phil. PA) and John and Peters (New Hope, PA).

Diana Luciano Grayfox is a teacher, healer, and dancer. She is a Strega, an Elder of the Clarian Temple of the Religio Terranova, High Priestess of the Order of the Evening Star and an accomplished academic. She was formally educated in classical studies at an Ivy League institution and holds an advanced degree from Drexel University. She is a certified hypnotherapist, a Reiki master, director of a college library, a faculty member at two local colleges, owner of a holistic health practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania, which specializes in children and women's well-being, and a loving wife and mother. In her spare time, when she is not volunteering for animals, she is performing or teaching sacred belly dance. Diana has taught sacred dance workshops since 2003 and weekly classes since 2004. She has an entrancing style of dance that has captivated observers all over the Delaware Valley. She teaches Tribal Belly Dance from a holistic perspective, conveying a healing and empowering dance for women of all backgrounds
